Psyllium Husks are fibres which are derived from the psyllium plant. When entering the digestive system, these Psyllium Husks turn into a gel like substance that stimulates peristaltic movements (1). Because of the frequent peristaltic movements due to the gel like substance, excess sand in the intestines is excreted, preventing sand accumulation in the intestines (2). Research results show that the combination of Psyllium Husks and Omega Oil significantly increases the supportive function of the Psyllium Husks and this combination is able to excrete more sand in comparison to Psyllium Husks on their own (3). Therefore, supplementation of Psyllium Husks is ideal for horses that require intestinal support and to prevent sand accumulation in the intestines (4).

Kaolin is an absorbent clay mineral that absorbs excess water in the intestinal tract (5). Therefore, this ingredient mainly provides support to horses with watery manure (5).

Beta-Glucan is a polysaccharide supports aids the function of the immune system of the horse (6). It also has a positive effect on digestion and regulates the release of sugar, preventing sugar highs (7), which can have a positive effect on the horse's behaviour.
