Synovium Lactaplus is a complete supplement containing the ingredients Honey, Bee pollen powder, Vitamin B12, Betaine, L-Carnitine and Xanthan Gum to prevent muscle damage and slow down muscle acidification. Synovium Lactaplus paste is suitable for horses performing intensive exercise which leads to acidification of the muscles causing the horse to move less smoothly. Thanks to the convenient packaging and the formula in paste form, this supplement is also ideal for multi-day competitions.

Intense exercise leads to the production of lactic acid in the muscles, resulting in a pH decrease in the muscles and muscle acidification. Muscle acidification can result in stiffness and reduced performance due to the horse being less souple.  

Heavy exercise increases the daily need of nutrients, mainly to support the energy metabolism (1). The addition of Bee Pollen helps to meet these increased requirements by stimulating the horse’s appetite and absorption of nutrients (2).  

The addition of Betaine has an effect on the absorption of lactate in the muscles, produced due to strenuous exercise (3). As a result, Betaine has a positive effect on muscle recovery after heavy exercise (3).  

L-Carnitine is a component that can be found in the muscles and influences the oxidation of fatty acids in the mitochondria (4). Fatty acids are an important energy source for the muscles, which require more energy during exercise. In addition, physical activity also affects the Carnitine homeostasis in the horse's body (4). L-Carnitine supports the development of a healthy muscle mass, due to training, and therefore has a positive effect on the athletic performances of the horse (5).

Horse: add to the feed once a week or administer directly into the horse's mouth. During competition: 1 syringe one day before the competition and 1 syringe on the day of the competition.

Pony: add to the feed once a week or administer directly into the Pony's mouth. During competition: 1 or half syringe one day before the competition and 1 or half syringe on the day of the competition.  

Not suitable for foals.
