The function of the immune system can be suppressed by various stressors from the environment or the horse's body (1). The composition of the hindgut microbiome is strongly correlated with the functioning of the immune system. As a result, dysbiosis of the hindgut microbiome can lead to a weakened immune response (2). When the immune system is suppressed, the horse becomes more susceptible to viruses and bacteria, leading to infections and diseases (3). The addition of probiotic brewer's yeast supports the composition of the hindgut microbiome and the functioning of the immune system. Previous research in cattle has shown that the use of this high-quality probiotic yeast results in increased immune system activity (4). Research in horses indicates that brewer's yeast has anti-inflammatory properties and supports the hindgut microbiome during dysbiosis caused by dietary changes. (5,6). Additionally, Synovium Immunomodulator, due to the addition of probiotic yeast, is also suitable for horses suffering from digestive issues and provides hindgut support.
