Synovium Lactaplus promotes muscle recovery after intense exercise and enhances the energy capacity of the muscles. The supplement contains the powerful antioxidant alpha-Lipoic acid, which prevents muscle damage, combined with the necessary B vitamins. Because the supplement is packaged in convenient small bags it is also an ideal supplement, to be able to provide support, during multi-day competitions.

Intense exercise leads to the production of lactic acids in the muscles, resulting in a pH decrease in the muscles and muscle acidification. Muscle acidification can result in stiffness and reduced performance due to the horse being less supple.  

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a powerful antioxidant that neutralises free radicals in the body which are released during intense exercise (1). This prevents muscle damage. Supplementing alpha-lipoic acid also supports and aids the breakdown of lactic acid in the muscles, reducing stiffness after exercise (2). Alpha Lipoic Acid also supports healthy blood sugar levels and enhances the energy capacity of the body (3).  

The addition of B-Vitamins promotes calm behaviour due to the important function the vitamins exert on the nervous system (4).

Horse and pony: add 40 g daily to the feed.
Or divide the daily dose over two feedings (2x 20 g).  

Not suitable for foals. 

For optimal results: add 1 sachet one day before competition or intensive exercise and add 1 sachet to the feed before competition or exercise.  

Or as prescribed by a veterinarian.
